sounds funny, but those green and red felt washers that you get at autoparts stores for 99 cents are great at stoppiing that. you can also use that red spray that coats the terminals.

I've had the problem in colder weather areas before. The only thing that solved it was buying a platinum coated battery terminal from a car stereo store.
