Cleverklutz, I'm not sure exactly what it is, but you really might want to get your PT looked at. Mine is running around 8-9 seconds (0-60) on a good day if I am remembering correctly. I need to go and test that again.

I'm betting money he's got an automatic. The automatics on the PT's are fun killing sucubuses (think Hillary Clinton). That's why I bought stick too.

That makes sense. I have only ever driven the stick shift (my car) so I don't know from experience. Seems like there are not many stick shift PT's around, at least in my area. (liked the clinton reference, really put the picture in my head )

Honestly, I think it's more than placebo on my car. I've usually got the stereo jacked up so loud my ears bleed, so I don't get much clouding of judgement. I know I get more torque-steer and it pulls better up hills. I know the 06 filter is larger than the 00-05 filter. I dunno. If I ever get to a dyno, I'll have to prove myself wrong with a quick A/B.

Eh. Regardless, I like it. Before, it was so quiet I'd be sitting in low gear at 5,000RPM without realizing I need to upshift. Now I get a little bit of noise to tell me, "Hey, dumbass ..... upshift now."

I can't wait to hear what mine will sound like with it! The full exhaust (OBX tube header, ECC high flow cat, Borla dual cat back) gives a really nice deep growl to it already (and I'm in love with the exhaust pops when down-shifting), but with the intake I think the sound of my car will be complete. I have spoken with quite a few car nuts on this subject recently and the general consensus is that the power from the intake will be a little more prominent because it isn't held back by the exhaust anymore.
