According to the PT Cruiser book I have, you just pull the bolts on the intake manifold, and tilt the manifold up. Rubber seals appear to be reusable.

I removed the EGR tube on the back of the intake, and loosened the bolt on the bottom of the throttle body as well. I don't think you can tilt the intake with the EGR in place. The 13mm (I think, the big one...) bolt on the egr gave me grief when putting it back in. The hole it goes into has a metal insert that goes into a rubber grommet. It wasn't letting me thread the bolt in. I found it works like a charm if you take the grommet out, push the metal insert into it, and then just hold the grommet up to the intake as you thread the bolt in. It allows you more room to wiggle the bolt into the threads. If it gives problems you'll see what I mean.

Exclamation Re: Changing sparkplugs Question?

Cleverklutz, The EGR valve went away starting in 2003 so 2004ptcruiser won't have to deal with those bolts.
