Word of advice - When they change the timming belt they will probably want you to change the oil pump at the same time (which is not a bad idea because you will be in there anyway) the pully on the front of the oil pump is a PRESS ON pully - it requires a special tool from Mopar to install it properly. I had a mechanic do my belt and then 25,000 miles later that pully wore a hole in the front of my oil pump!!!!! Just a heads up - if they tell you different fine someone else to fix you car!!!!

Thanks to all who helped me with advice regarding belt replacement. Turned out, no bent valves. Just replaced the belt, pump, and car runs fine.

What did the final cost come to? I have about 87k in my 2001 so I am thinking about getting it done soon...

Guy in San Diego did it for $350. Whatever you do, don't wait until it breaks.
