Does anyone have information on putting a V6 in a PT cruiser. I have seen the mother's polish car put i know no details. I want to know everything about it! What kind of engine and where its from, I hear a minivan, How to fit it in the engine compartment, the works!

redvelvetswirl,

The engine is a 3.8 liter V6 that is used in the minivans. From what was described, only a pushrod motor would fit since an overhead cam V6 (2.7 L, 3.2 L, or 3.5 L) is too wide to fit in the engine bay. I will try to find the write-up I have on it. Obviously, custom engine mounts, etc. were used. The 3.8 L engine makes 215 hp--the same as the turbo motor in the GT. As far as I know, there are absolutely no performance parts for the V6 either.

I know a guy that is working on a 5.7 HEMI install in a PT.

Keep your eyes open.

There was a cruiser at carlise with a 300m v6 and complete drive componets that was set up for rear wheel dr he was asking 10,000 for car as is, it was in the for sale car corral. I dont know if it ran or not. Seemed well thought out and great potential for a serious motorhead notice I said serious motor head . This would be way over my head. I feel out of all the people on these forums their are only 4 or 5 people who would go after a project like this and the first words out of their mouth would be do u have a umlimited supply of green backs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
