Yeah I'm pretty sure it was the AirAid system that was added..

A cold air intake on these cars does nothing, but give you a little more noise and looks full race.

I'm sorry...but I must disagree!
The soonercruiser is a non-turbo. With the restricted OEM air box, it had a distinct lag in response to the pedal being pushed when occassionally needed. My AirRaid system gives me a distinctly quicker pedal response when needed (the Good Side). ![]() The down side is - I do live the growl, and probably burn more gas because of that. ![]()

![]() The OEM system isn't really resrictive, it's the OEM filter that is.

I think this thread may have convinced me to buy a AirAid. I have a non-turbo and automatic and noticed some lag in low gears. Fuel economy may be another reason to buy, as I have heard it can help.
Are these normally a $250 item? I noticed on Ebay they have several cold air intakes in the $75 range, off brands but they seem to come with an K&N filter. Maybe the Ebay ones are junk, but I am tempted. |

I believe that I shopped around, and eventually got Maggie at Race&Street to match the best price, plus free shipping.
![]() (Don't believe that I ended up paying nearly the full retail)
