Hi everyone!!!!
I would like to know if this drop in filter allows more dirt to enter the engine? Will it shorten the life span of the engine Thanks in advance |

Wow, I take it you haven't done any research. K&N has been around a long time and if it's properly cleaned and oiled will not do any harm to the engine.
They (K&N) say that their filter straightens out the air flow letting a higher volume of air in while still filtering out any harmful particles. Just using the drop-in K&N, you won't feel any difference unless you also take out the white dounuts from the filter boxes and maybe increasing the size of the inlet pipe which draws air from the fenderwell. For most of us, the increased air flow took out the hesitation-from-start that the PT has using a stock air filtering system.
