As I've stated in Front end link bushing replacement? AND Sway bars worth it?
I have a problem with my swaybar linkage breaking. This is the 4th time (passenger side 1 and drivers side 3). I have zero confidence in the dealership that has done the repairs. Couple that with the last time was a fight to get them to back their work I'm going to do this myself and hope for better results. I have a '06 base model PT with the stock front swaybar. My 2 questions are: 1) Does anybody else have this problem? 2) Can a mechanic tell me what the torque specs are for the linkage? I called Napa and the parts should only cost about $35-37 for the repair kit and bushings but I have to measure the swaybar size, he said it'll either be a 24mm or 26mm. Thanks. |
