Intermittent thermometer problem
I have a 2006 Touring Edition, and recently, my thermometer has been acting weird, at really random times. Sometimes the thermometer won't register, or registers an inaccurate temperature...the other day, in fact, the thermometer read "47 F" when it was about 80 degrees out. Rebooting the car works (shutting it off and turning it back on), though sometimes it takes a couple of cycles. Could a sensor be loose or have gone bad somewhere?

The sensor on the older models is attached to the center bar behind the grill. Take the grill off (carefully, if you know how) and wipe off and dirt or grime that might have accumulated on it.
