I got distracted by Hurricane Ike. No damage, but lots of downed limbs, the eye passed within 10 miles of me. 80 MPH sustained winds with higher gusts for several hours. Power back in 40 hours though, so that was good.

I'm maintaining a consistent 12-15% increase in MPG with the current system. I have a corrosion problem and after about 700 miles I get foaming and very little production. I pulled the unit and am replacing the current 6 plate system with no neutral plates with a test with +N-N-N+. Hopefully will get that working tomorrow and see what happens with new plain water then adding KOH for an electrolyte.

Anyone having luck with vinegar?

I had bought the water4gas books. They have some good info, but for the most part, they just make the author $97 richer. The system is inefficient and doesn't put out nearly enough HHO.

If you want to learn a bit about HHO and how it all works, here's a forum that I've found useful.

I'm continuing to test my w4g setup right now, and if I see a slight gain with it, I'm considering purchasing an assembled product. There is a new kit on the market that sounds promising. It's inexpensive and has good HHO production. The generators produce 1 liter/minute of HHO while drawing 10 amps which is quite good. They cost $75 which is cheaper than you could build one for. The full kit that is ready to install has electronic controls for monitoring and adjusting everything, 2 generators, and all the stuff needed to bolt it in. It costs $600. I'm interested in the full kit once I see results from others that have purchased it. Here's their site.

I am thinking of putting a similar unit on the cruiser since it has been a garage queen for the past several months... I cant afford to drive the gas hog.
I really want to install one in my PT Cruiser just not sure on how to do it just yet or if I should buy one of those kits and from where also I wish people here in NYC knew how to do install it.

Hey Teekypt, sorry for the slow response it's been busy at work. I live in Friendswood w/Texas New Mexico Power and we were back on Sunday after the storm. Had a 24 outage starting on Tuesday a week later when they attempted to power up another neighborhood.

I rebuilt my electrolyzer using a -NN+NN+NN- design. With the PWM cranked all the way up, it pulls 10 AMPS hot (maybe 12) and produces a lot of gas. I haven't bothered checking output, but my mileage on the first run (started with 50 miles) was around 24 MPG which maintains the ~13% increase. The water is still getting hot, but not boiling. I also switched to braided SS wire connect the electrical input studs to the plates. I previously used 10 ga. copper wire but had a lot of corrosion and heat.

Last posting was in May 2008, Gas pricing came down and we lost interest? I'm new with this form, but I would like to see more info on this subject.

What happen to the F150, is there relay a F150 that gets 38 MPG if so SOLD!

Adding water isn't the problem - Corrosion is the problem. I'm still averaging about 23-25 MPG city in my 2002 stock PT (a 10-15% increase). No EFIE (yet).

Stainless steel isn't stainless in the corrosion rich environment of KOH, and free O. I've been researching other forums and there is a corrosion free material available - graphite. Using glass blowing grade graphite sheets folks are seeing good performance with no heat gain. Graphite is easy to drill, but brittle, so making connections is tough. Spar Varnish is used to "glue" connectors in place and insulate the stainless nuts and bolts. Some folks are even adding heat with water jackets tied to the cooling system. You can't use KOH, it breaks down the graphite. Most aren't using anything except tight spacing to induce electrolysis. Many aren't using negative plates since the heat gain is so low. I haven't tested this, but that will be my next system.

As for posts, well it's football season in Texas, so there isn't as much free time to play with systems.
