No didnt replace plugs, but car ran fine up till belt replacement. I saw one post where a guy had the exact problem( right down to pulling pcv valve hose and would idle ok). I have tried to contact him to see what he found wrong with his since it was back in January but have not received a reply yet. Test drove car last night runs fine on the open road, no hesitation and power seemed fine just idle at stop is rough and cutting off. To me if the timing was off I would loose power and if the valves got bent should run rough all the time if at all. Any help is appreciated. I even removed IAC and tried cleaning (2001 with 110,000 miles)

Ok here is a follow up. The rough idle and cutting off unless there was a vacuum leak was due to timing being off by 1-2 notches, mainly on the exhaust cam. I had timed the cams like the manual said notch to notch but they where not quite horizontal. So had to pull it back down and re-time. Did find a shortcut though, if you pull the right headlight assmebly out it gives you a little more hand room. GOOD luck

Sobbad, when you removed the IAC, did you need to install with new o-rings???

No I just put it back in. The problem was with the exhaust cam being out of time. The car is running good now

Cool. I asked because mine is idling a little rough...and I just replaced spark plugs and the wires, and just had a tune up.

I was thinking of cleaning the IAC, but the manual says that it has an o-ring that should be replaced. I didn't want to remove it, clean it, not replacing the o-ring and then have a leak....
