Exclamation Timing Belt

What is the easiest way to replace the timing belt? Can it be done without professional assistance?

When you talk about professional assistance, what are your qualifications? The professional assistance shouldn't need your help, if he/she is a professional.

There's been several members of this forum that have done it themselves, and a couple had to do it over again because things weren't lined up correctly.

A few have said it's the worst job they've ever tackled because of the placement of some of the bolts. A couple have said the engine has to be dropped a couple inches for clearance.

Do you have a service manual or even a Haynes book for some guidance?

It's recommended, as Bob said, to do the water pump at the same time. Also, if you have and 01 or 02 model year, Chrysler came out with a new tensioner in 03 that should be changed along with the serpentine belt and alternator belt.
