Hi. The main cause of long cranking is bad ignition parts. It could be the plugs or wires or a weak coil since your at 150K. When was the last time they were all checked or replaced?

Not that I know of. I've never heard anyone talk about a low pressure switch. When you bought it did it have the long cranking time, or just start.

How about the timing belt. Recommended replacement is 100K along with the water pump and at 150K, the serpentine and alternator belt should also be replaced.

By the way, I checked the Haynes manual (not the greatest but does help) and there's a whole section on oil pressure and nothing about a switch that doesn't allow starting till the pressure is up.
