Everyone -thanks so much for the comments and advice, I did look at the K&N web site again and their claims of increased HP appear to be a marketing ploy because they are not in-line with my reality. I am removing this system and replacing it with a modified stock box and my old K&N drop-in filter as suggested - thanks again!!

Or piece it together. Like I did.
3" 45 degree silicone coupler 2.5"->3" 90 degree high temp rubber coupler 3" aluminum tubing Any 3" tubing will work. Then use any clamps you want.
