When mine overheated and threw all the old red sticky anti-freeze all over my spotless engine because of a burnt out fan motor, I got it home ordered a new fan and filled it back with the same stuff you did; 50/50 Peak (love that Danica Patrick) and it's been fine for over two years now.

The ONLY fluid I know of that you should get from the dealer is the ATF+4 or 5 (synthetic) for the transaxle and I think you can find that after-market also.

if it is a blown head gasket you will either have oil in the coolant or coolant in the crankcase depending where the gasket is blown at. take your car to a radiatoe repaor shop and ask the pressure test your cooling system.....that will tell you for sure if it's blown or not or you may have a coolant leak elsewhere. if you still suspect air in the system I have always parked the car on a slight grade with the driver side down so bubbles will rise to the filler neck then I bleed it and get the air out

Hey Crewzin, that's good to hear, I kinda thought it shouldn't make a difference on the antifreeze. Last time we bled/refilled up again was one week ago, usually only lasts 3-4 days, before overheating, maybe the dang airleak sealed itself?Wouldn't that be nice? Having said that, it will probably overheat tonight when I have to go to Saratoga, about 30 mi. round trip. We shall see.....

Anyone on here ever use this Thermagasket stuff that's being touted as an alternative for head gasket replacement? Saw ad on this forum, just wondering.
