Default Has anybody rebuilt the multi-function stalk?

I don't have high beams, nor do my fog lights work. I know it's the mutlifuction stalk from what I have read on the forum, but has anybody fixed one? Not PT related, but on the 1997-2004 corvettes you can take the stalk off and fix it. I was wondering if the same can be done to the head light switch of the PT, or if any of you guys had atemped to fix them.

I haven't heard of anyone rebuilding one. Stock one is about $40 - $50. Not that hard to change, if you decide to go that way.

MX-5, Master Tech of all things PT, once posted pictures as he took the stalk apart to show us how it was built with cheap parts. Pointed out exactly why it would burn out because the parts that were used couldn't handle the heat of the voltage going through it.

You'd probably have to fabricate parts yourself to re-built it so it would last and as Hooligan pointed out, nobody has ever posted that they tried that.

Here's the link to the posting if you care to look.......
