Default gas milage

Hi there

I dont no if anybody ever got a speed and gas chip for their pt on ebay but i did got one , i was just curious. I paid $10,50 for the chip it self and my engine is running smoother and my pt was doing about 23-25 miles per gallon, and now it's doing 30 miles per gallon for the same trip i do every week, i go get my kid and she lives about 1:15 min from my place and i've seen a good improvement on gas. My dad got the same chip, but is PT is automatic and his car is a little bit better on gas maybe 2 or 3 miles per gallon better....but every penny in our pocket is better than their pockets

Always thought those chips were a waste of money and didn't work. If it worked for you, awesome. I'm getting 30mpg just driving a little more eco-friendly and that's good enough for an EPA rated 18/24MPG car.

Please explain how the chip was hooked up and what it's supposed to do.

It's probably a mental thing. You put the chip in, and drive a little bit easier amd see a bit of an increase and think the chip did it.

Sorry. Put me in the non-believer category. You can't buy anything on eBay that going to give you that kind of improvement. If it's the "chip" that they try and sell for just about every car on the planet is does nothing but fool the computer into thinking there's cooler air coming into the throttle body so the timing is advanced and more fuel is added to the intake. It's done with a resistor.

on ebay they wrote, engines runs too rich on gas so that horse power is not what it's suppose to be, with this chip your car will run using less gas, more horse power... something like that, i dont have the exact words, but it's working good with me...unless like you guys are saying...it's a mental thing but i always drive the same speed 60 mph, and my gas needle was higher than usual, about ½ of a quarter of a tank. please tell me if it's mental or is it a good chip?

Sorry, but those things (chips) don't work for beans.

Here's some other things to stay away from.
