Default Bleeding the clutch

My 01 5-speed was having some clutch problems. I diagnosed it to the slave cylinder. I got a Wagner one from Rock Auto and installed it. It does not have the bleeder like the stock one did. The port it there, it is just sealed off in the casting. I called Rock Auto and they called Wagner and they said that it is a factory part and that Chrysler no longer used the bleeder.
He said to fill the cylinder with the rod out. Pump it to make sure it is full. Then hook up hose and install and pump the rod with the cap off to bleed. I did this a LOT. But I cannot get the full motion from the clutch. It only engages maybe 1" and that is not enough to shift.
Any ideas?
Please!

Default Re: Bleeding the clutch

Well, I will answer my own question. I guess just letting it sit for a bit and the bubbles a chance to rise to the top. After I sent the last post I went and and pumped it some more, the pedal felt a little firmer, so I started it up and now it goes into gear! Ya, I have my DD back.
