Default Where are the spark plugs...?

I believe my PT needs some new spark plugs, however I cannot locate where they are. It's an '01 PT the 2.4L engine. Could anyone help me in locating the plugs?

Thank you

They are mostly under the intake manifold. Look here.

Tom. Your full of surprises. Even I was about to get a little sarcastic when I saw the title. Something on the lines of "if you need to ask, ask for help before you try it yourself", but you stayed and gave the poster a nice answer.

To you ......

Thanks for the DIY on changing the spark plugs. When I opened my hood on my 02 I do not see that modesty cover. Do all have that, or is mine not modest? Or in other words is it missing and do I need to get one? What function does it do besides keeping PT molesters from looking at it’s private parts?

Some Cruisers didn't have the cover. Everything should still be the same. If I'm not mistaken it's just for looks.

Wazzzzman,

Yes, it's only for looks. Starting in 02 (I think) Chryrsler started deleting a lot of little things in order to save money. The modesty cover, the passenger side outside door lock, little lights inside certain switches, the cargo net, the rear hatch outside lock and finally the rear shelf.

If you look on your engine you'll see three holes. These hold the modesty cover after you buy and insert three holders from the dealer. The holders are about $4 each and the modesty cover is about $35.

How come I don't have that cover, covering the cables?

Ron, do you have the modesty cover? I think Chrysler started covering that part of the cable when they did away with the modesty cover so dirt wouldn't get in the pulley system. I don't have it either (see pic) but I do have the modesty cover that covers it up (not shown in pic).

Wazzzzman, look carefully at my pic and you can see the modesty cover holder visible on mine in the rear and right side of the manifold.

Oh okay. Makes sense. I do have the Modesty cover.

Thanks for clearing that up, Carey.
