Nice work. I think I'll still let a professional do mine.

glutton for punishment that I am, I'm still planning on dropping the entire engine/transaxle and doing the belt, idlers, pump, etc....all at one time. At 69,000 I still have a little time to plan it out....or is that chicken out?

You may not have as much time as you think with 69000 miles My 2005 has 72000 miles on it and it shredded a timing belt. I have a 2005 turbo convertable and Iam ready to drive it off a cliff. I have had nothing but problems with it. Both front axles, computer, turbo, and a bunch of misc. b.s. and now the timing belt. I should have kept my honda accord

Ahhhh. It's refreshing to see somebody in the same boat. I've got 89k miles and a stretched timing belt, fog lights that dont shut off, a transmission thats blown it's solenoid pack, and a problem w/ the 2 stage fan.. with a grand total of over 2k dollars worth of REPAIRS in the past 4 months!!

I should have kept my old honda, and I should buy ANOTHER new honda!

yea i am in the same boat. The car has been great up to now.Has over 100,000 miles on it, made in 2000 and just wondering if I am starting to throw money at it and not be reliable. Just drove it and the wife got in it and it won't start. The starter is turning it over, and it seems to me the compression is not sounding correct. I know you can't hear "compression" but don't really know how to expain it.

Did YOU have the timing belt changed? With the belt broken, the engine will turn over easier because the belt isn't turning anything.
