heehee this was on dry pavement with dry tires..juss put it in neutral revved it up and pulled back into drive and viola! tire smoke

Just incase you didn't know, the 41TE used in earlier PT's and the turbo PT's has a reputation for not being too tough. The way the symbols break down for the tranny is that 4 designates number of forward gears, one designates the strength, and TE is the mount style.

I guess Chrysler decided that PT's weren't blowing up enough of the already too weak 41TE's and pulled out some clutch packs I believe, making the new tranny a 40TE, having a strength rating of "0"! Late model PT's have this tranny, that includes yours.

I hope your warranty covers bringing the tranny back to the dealer in a bag... The 41TE blows up in normal driving. Neutral bombs on a weaker transmission probably aren't a good idea IMO.

Very nice little bit of artwork there I've done it a few times in mine too, but I have the 5 speed manual. Be careful with yer tranny, because even if its under warranty, it's a pain to get it fixed. Still! Glad there are some other members out there who like having some fun!
