The mechanic said the wire were NOT replaced and said only if there is a problem do they replace them. He said he has a 2002 PT Cruiser that has over 65,000 miles on it and hasn't had to replace the wires yet. He said he will do a free diagnostic on it. He said bad sensors could cause it to run rough too.

I'm just going by what many of us found on this and other forums. Overheating, clogged or dirty air filter, dirty throttle body ....the list goes on and on why a car can run rough. You asked for an idea why it might run rough and I gave you the two most likely causes. Hope he finds your problem without costing you too much more.

Yes, it has to have something to do with the 600 tune up because I bought the car certified in 2007 (this year). It only has approx 48,000 miles on it.
