Default PTGT-Autostick. You use it???

How many of yall actually use your autostick???

I use mine a lot...when in the neighborhoods and back roads. I've also used it when I've had to come to abrupt stops.

Anyone else??? Just curious.

Have an 04 GT and use the Autostick all the time. I even start out in second gear quite often, going real easy, keeps the RPMs down. The owners manual even says you can start out in third gear but I never do that. I just should have bought a manual to start with, wish I had. I am sure that using the Autostick to slow down with saves the breaks.

It does help with brakes...but I am wondering if this could mess with my tranny? Wut you think?

I know thats right...actually I am about to see if I have stage 1 on my GT. I bought it used and have noticed that it has quite a bit of "extra" power. So, this weekend my mechanic at a Dodge dealership is gonna check it out for me.

I know that the muffler and exhaust pipe aren't stock, but I'm not sure what it is exactly. I found a video on YouTube with a red PTGT that has stage 1. The owner tapes his exhaust as he revs the engine...my exhaust sounds EXACTLY like this. But I won't know until the dealer checks the #s on the exhaust system. I'll let yall know!

I've had ShuggaPlum since '05 and am just now checking this out.. :[

What has 61 years old have to do with driving properly? I'm 74 and always use the auto-stick, except in heavy traffic. The game is control. Take it from an ex-racer (retired). Until recently race cars never were automatics.
They are now common with auto - sticks in the form of steering wheel paddles. Automatic transmission technology has advance to a point where they can shifter faster than a stick shift. However, not in the PT Cruiser.

This is true...I don't use the autostick to race...it performs better w/out it, as I've experienced...

Just use it for cruising.

I understand....but....
"To each their own".....
