Wink MS PERIWINKLE

I HAVE A 2006 PT CRUSIER TOURING EDITION. THE CONTOL KNOBS GET VERY HOT TO THE TOUCH EVERY TIME THE LIGHTS ARE ON. THEY REPLACED THE CONTROL ASSEMBLY PANEL HVAC. IT STILL GETS HOT. THE FLAT CIRCLE AROUND THE KNOBS IS WHAT IS GETTING HOT. ANY SUGGUESTIONS?

Welcome to the Forum. Use capitals ONLY to make a point. Caps = shouting.

Sorry, I can't help you with the overheating problem.

Kramerd,

Are the nobs plastic or metal? Any aftermarket upgrades to the nobs?

Did you buy the car new or used? If so, check and see if the nobs are included in the 3year 36,000 mi. warranty. Do you have an extended warranty?

Is it still getting hot to the touch? And how hot? Anytime a bulb is situated against plastic or any type of material, it's gonna be a little warm..at times, hot.

Let us know.

Wink Re: MS PERIWINKLE

They are plastic. I bought it used in april 2008. They replaced the whole the panel. I am over 36,000 miles but this happened while it was still under warranty.
It dose it when the headlights are on. if you left you finger there 10 or 15 sec it would burn it.
