Default NITROUS OXCIDE??

Has anyone sucessfully added Nitrous Oxcide (about a 50HP boot at mid & top end) to a NA automatic PT without damaging the engine.I know the GT PT's are beefed up(forged rods & pistons) but can the standard PT take the bottle? I saw alot of cars yesterday & the track & it only cost $700 bucks total but ??? advise etc.. thaknks

Yep, the 41TE auto tranny would make me worry, too.

Nitrous Oxide

I believe MX-5 has either put it in his own PT or has installed it in other non-turbo PT's. He also has special add-ons to insure it doesn't harm the engine if used properly. Maybe he will explain further if he see this thread.

Maybe...... maybe not.
I might suggest the 'search' function here and at PTE. I've detailed the installation and tuning in a 4 page article in Cruiser Quarterly magazine as well.

I have nitrous on my 03 Turbo. Works well, but best to keep it at 50 or 75 max as the tranny will not handle it. I had to get a beefed up tranny to handle 75.
