Default trouble code

new pt turbo, 5 days old check engine light came on, did the on-off-on-off-on got a 0456, according to a web page that code is for a small leak in the evap system?

evap system as in the air conditioning system?

anyone else having problems with their air in their pt cruisers?

EVAP as in the evaporative emissions system.

The most likely cause is either a loose gas cap or you left the PT running while refueling.

Although there could be a small leak in the sealed fuel system, it's not nearly as common as a gas cap.
