I do the oil on our PT and it's quite painless to do. I also have Rhino ramps, as the red metal ones I use for other vehicles are too steep. The worse vehicle I ever changed oil on was the Ford Explorer we had prior to the PT. My '79 Caddy Coupe DeVille is very easy, changes from the front similar to a PT, but I don't have to use ramps or a jack.
![]() As to the oil used on our PT, we did dino oil for the first 12K miles, then a blend to around 25K, and now we're fully synthetic (Pennzoil Platinum). |
