Default Blower Heater Problem

Hello all PT'ers

My Question is it got really cold here and I plugged in my car at night
The Heater blower was pushing the air in the cabin fine in the morning but later afternoon I went to pick up the little one at school and the heater blower will not turn on. When I do try to turn it on the lights dim just a little even letting the car idle to warm up will not do anything -thermostat works fine, (the rear defroster works) but not the main blower. Could this be the resistor block? if so I'm trying to locate where it is.

Default Re: Blower Heater Problem

It's the same blower for heat and A/C. I say try all postions of the fan - including A/C. As far as I know, the resistor block controls the fans speed, so by trying all speeds you ought to find one that works, unless the blower motor died.
Try all positions - feet, defrost, etc., in case one path is blocked for some reason.
The fact that the lights dim a bit suggests you didn't blow a fuse, because if fuse blew, the lights would be unaffected.
