Unhappy clutch master cylinder bleeding directions?

Hey everybody! I'm new to the site and I'm a proud owner of an 06 PT 2.2 5-speed. I love it but I have a small issue with trying to bleed the clutch master cylinder system. The linkage piece that goes to my clutch pedal broke. Unfortunately you have to buy the assembly. Master cylinder, slave cylinder and lines. Crazy right? Hundred bucks too! The problem is there is no hex head to loosen or even a line. Anybody have a clue?

Termanpt83,

Welcome to the forum. In your description, you say 06 PT 2.2 5 speed. We don't have the size engine in the U.S. so I'm guessing your overseas somewhere, or did you make a mistake and yo meant to say 2.4 liter since your talking about "bucks" which of course is slang for the all mighty (not so mighty now) dollar.

I'm not sure if the master cylinder bleeding technique would be the same as the 01-04 PT Cruiser, but it's worth a shot.

On the top of this Tech & Performance section of the forum I placed a sticky that lets you download the 01-04 manual. It's a PDF format and it's been screened for viruses so don't be afraid to download it. Do a search of "clutch master cylinder and on page 205 of 2,051 pages you'll see the instructions for bleeding the clutch master cylinder.

Hope that helps.
