Default new 2001 cruiser.....small problem....help??

Hi all...new to this forum. We have had 6 cruisers in the family over the last few years and love them. My mom just got a silver 2001 limited with a Pteazer front end and rear roll pan and that split window kit. The car has 151K miles but she only paid $3000.00 total for it. Now right after she bought it it stared stalling on her and when it happened it was if it was starving for gas. She took it to pep boys...ill never understand why??....anyways heres what they replaced for her. The wires, the plugs, they cleaned the throttle body, they replaced the manifold which they say was cracked and also the gasket. said all was good then a few hours after they left it started doing it again. then right after that the timing belt went so they had that replaced as well as the water pump...when they broke down i had my dad pull the codes and the code came up for the cam sensor so i replaced that before i knew it was the timing belt that caused them to brake down...so with all those parts replaced what could be casusing the thing to sputter every now and then? there are no codes to pull since they replaced the timing belt and i replaced the cam sensor....any ideas???

There is a flash available for the early PT's that makes the PCM less sensitive to sensor drop out. A little roughness is normal especially at idle. Big displacement 4 cylinders tend to idle rough.

Sorry, re-read, and you clearly say timing belt was replaced.
When it is acting up, try spraying WD-40 along the intake manifold seams - it if smooths out, intake manifold gasket leak...
(yeah, I read they replaced it, but Pep Boys?)
Check the wires to the cam sensor...

Not being funny, I think I see your problem in your quote above.

I'd go over everything they did, Not replace everything but double check everything they touched.

while i agree...it was doing this before they ever touched the car so what ever they did had nothing to do with repairing what they took it to those morons in the first place to repair...its not a new problem since they replaced parts..same old problem...any ideas?
