Default side pipes in PA? you bet!

howdy howdy howdy.

first post.

been around checking out the site for a little while. and this is the best PT site i have found.

well, i figured i would come by and post some great news for PT People of PA:

side pipes are legal here!
http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms.../section_e.pdf
yep, scroll down to the exhaust section (175.75) and it says they are legal.

and that is great news, because i have been wanting a set for awhile.

now the question is...do i buy the 800 dollar kit (can anyone find a better price?) or make my own, using parts from Jegs.com?
it seems it would cost alot less from jegs, but is it worth the extra work?
most of the parts are kinda off the shelf:
muffler (all you need a simple round, or oval, long and skinny one, with either 1 inlet, and 2 outlets, or a single outlet, and y pipe [easily found on ebay])
straight pipe
90's 45's and chrome, turn down tips.
the 90 degree CHROME bends for the faker fronts are a little hard to find, but i found them, and the heat shields can be found at jegs for 52 bucks.

so, whatyya all recommend? spend twice as much, and get a kit i know will fit, or chop that cost in half, and build up my own?
(in the same style)

oh, and this is the style i am getting or copying:

gotta love income tax return time.

oh, btw it is going on a 2001 limited, and i need to replace most of the exhaust anyway.
