Talking Intake Runners...

While online today i found a Intake Runner that i love. I noticed that their intake is smooth all the way down..unlike the one for my 06 has grooves. My question is that a custom intake? or.. What year is that intake for?

( I'm aware the paint is custom)

I love the upper radiator hose as well...

I'm almost positive that a Turbo intake from 03-05. Many owners had the die cast runners smoothed out and painted. The upper radiator hose is sold with different colors to match different tastes.

I'm about 99 percent sure that is an intake from a non turbo pt that the ribs on the runners have been ground off and smoothed out and painted. The plastic valve cover is the give away about non turbo. It's a lot of work and the paint is AWESOME!
The turbos went to plastic intakes in the 06 model but the angle of the curve after the throttle body is not as sharp.

Your right, Non-turbo. I didn't look close enough. I've seen, and in fact a couple of the guys with turbos in my Tampa Bay Club, the polished upper intakes with turbos. They've tuned out just a nice as the picture above.

Hey SoCalCruiser,

As an alternative to the Runners, here is the polished Upper Intake Crewzin mentioned. The Intakes prior to 06, all came with a rough, almost sand like texture to them due to the way they were cast, but were all made out of aluminum, and could be smoother down, and polished to an almost Chrome Like finish. I had a friend polish mine out for $60.00. Its a pretty easy mod to pull off, and dresses up the Engine Compartment pretty nicely!

As for that Upper Hose, that does look pretty trick!

Take er easy!

the only problem with that is that it seems like my intake is a lot different from your intake Candyman. The intake for my 06 has less of a curve.

Don's (Candyman) is showing you an intake from a Turbo that's been polised. They do have more of a curve, but is seems like some of the non-turbo intakes have more of a curve than others. The picture of your 06 doesn't curve much where mine (below) seems to have as much of a curve as the turbo's. I had mine chromed.
