I have a 2003 with a manual transmission. It is at the dealers right now having the timing belt changed.
While it was apart, they found that one of the shift cable grommets was completely gone (I had a look, the one next to it is disintegrating as well. It was $450.00 to change the entire cable, as Chrysler does not sell the grommets separately. I purchased the cable, in order to be able to identify the size of the grommets (there appear to be, at least, two sizes). Is there an aftermarket source for shift grommets? I can see these things disolving over time, as the do on my 1940 Ford (I can buy those grommets separately and cheaply). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
