Help!
My PT Cruiser is overheating after some use. I can drive it at low speeds (below 45) without a problem, but once I get up to 50-ish, the temperature gauge begins to rise, and it won't fall back down until I shut the car off some time. The electronic fans are working just fine, and I've flushed out the radiator and put in new anti-freeze. Any hints, tips, or clues as to what the problem might be? |

I did some searching and what most people seem to think when others had that problem is that the radiator is clogged. You say you flushed it out and put new anti-freeze. When you flushed it was it emptying out quick or slowly. Did you use the correct percentage of anti-freeze to water? The other thing I saw was a warn out water pump that couldn't keep up the revs enough to keep the water running around to cool it off when the engine got hot.

I assume when you yelled "I GIVE IT GAS GOES BACK TO NORMAL" you mean you're driving faster?

Check the fan it should run when you turn on the ac, I believe they are a two speed fan. Also make sure your using the correct antifreeze "hoat" there's a sticky link. Provide as much info on the vehicle as you can so we can help you. Year, miles, etc

yes the fan is working and it does not need coolant I let it cool down and open the radiator cap and it is full of coolant. I don't seem to find the reason of why it is still overheating on me.
