steering wheel - not canceling blinker?

having troubles with my steering wheel and then I realized I posted this in the wrong forum (convertibles). sorry 'bout that.

did the factory cruise control install for my 05 PT this weekend. wow - what a job. more to come on that.

had to pull the steering wheel to install the actual stick/control for the speed control. hurried in putting it all back together (doh!) and now the steering wheel has a rattle in there and it won't cancel the blinker when I go right.

grrr.

anybody have a tip on what went wrong in there so when I pull it back off tonight I can put it back right this time?

No problem, moved you over to the TECH section. Also deleted your duplicate post in the Interior section.

Never did it myself but maybe these will help...

thanks for the help.

am thinking I didn't get the clock spring seated all the way.

also - my steering wheel didn't go to the bottom of the splined steering wheel "post."

if anybody else has done this I'd be interested to know about putting the wheel back on - did it go all the down to the "bottom" of the post?
