I was doing a bit of interior detailing this weekend on my '07 Limited and popped out the rear window switches on the back of the center console. Hmmm.... there is a third connector there not plugged into anything. I'm thinking it is for a power outlet. Installing one couldn't be hard using this connector as the power source. But, I don't see where there's a good place for it. Right below the rear window swithces is the fold down cup holder. My son thought maybe the side of the console but it the front seat is slid back (like when he sits up front) it would wack anything plugged in.
So, where do they put this in at the factory, I think inside the console is doable but not the most convienient or practical (my wife packs a lot of stuff in the console.) |

There is one in the bottom bin of the center armrest and it has a pass through to pull your charger plug up into the smaller top section. It does stay on at all times. I don't use the bottom bin, as it is WAY to deep to pull anything out of it on the road without shoving your head two feet in it.

Thanks everyone I looked in the center consule large storage compartment there is no plug but a removeable cap where one can go. i will pick one up and install it. this must be the one that fuse 11 feeds. fuse 11 is selectable for battery feed or switch feed. Again Thanks to all.

Since it sounds like you can access the power connector, before you purchase the parts, why don't you verify that it is indeed hot with the key on with the key off and in your pocket. Should be easy enough to do with a simple volt meter or even a 12 volt bulb in a socket with two leads. That way you won't be disappointed after installation and it still doesn't work correctly.
