gearbox faults

I have a 2001 pt cruiser with an auto gear box, it keeps dropping out of gear and has several error codes ( p0700, p0732, p0736 andp1782 ) can anyone tell me what they mean and what could cause them and how to fix the problems

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

P0732 Incorrect 2nd Gear Ratio

P0736 Reverse incorrect gear ratio

P1782 P/ES Circuit Out Of Self Test Range / P1782 2-4 Pressure Switch Sense Circuit

All to do with your transmission. A scanner could be more explicit in explaining what's going on.

There's been a few problems with the solenoid pack on cruisers but I'm not saying that's your problem but it's a lot cheaper than a new transaxle.

I recently had the same thing with the transmission dropping in and out of gear. It wasn't on my Cruiser, but instead on our '02 Caravan. It turned out to be the servo's, which may be the same thing as the solenoids.

2002 Limited Edition auto transmission, about 35,000 miles, one morning it started only having first and reverse. Transmission ECU box whent bad.
Warranty paid for it.
