Bought my 2002 Limited Automatic with 17,000 on it a year and half ago. I have gotten 22-23 combined city and hwy since I've owned it. Changed to Champion Double Platinum at 30,000. No better gas mileage but better pickup it seems.

And considering gas prices, a topical topic.

I have a '01 Limited w/automatic and NO modifications. I get 20 to 25 mpg always! I don't even check it anymore as it seems to be OK for me! I have about 3,700 miles on the odometer.

Wish I were smart enough to tell you what to do. Hang in there? Heck no!

Brad
An '01 with less than 4,000 miles? I'm past that with my '05!!!
Just checked my last tank - 213 miles, 9.52 gal = 22.2 Mpg - air on for most of that....

We have 2 crusers the first is a 2004 just the standard engine it gets around 24 mph on a trip a little less around town.

Mine is a 2005 convertable Touring with turbo gets 28 to 30 on a trip and 24 to 26 in town.

I don't know if this is an anomoly, but by mistake one day I pressed the wrong button and filled the tank with 92 octane. My gas mileage plummented to 13 mpg. I have been averaging about 18 with a 2002, 5 speed with only 1,500 miles.
Did you say a 2002 with only 1500 miles on it? That is taking a while to break that one in, huh? Once you get between 2-3K on it, the 5-speed mileage should improve. I was getting less than 20 mpg, then it went up. Avg now is 26 mpg or so.

I have an 05 convertible automatic with 1100 miles on it. I just got back from a 360 mile trip with the top down and got 25 mpg. From what I read I should be happy with that.

I have had my PT since August of last year, bought it new, and drive it constantly. I consistently get 24 to 28 mpg on the highway, and that at 70-75 mph. I have about 32,000 miles on it already, and have not had one problem with it. My only complaint is that it's underpowered. I have a non-turbo, Touring Edition, with auto.

I get 23 city 26 hwy - like clock work, except in the summer with the air on in city drops to like 18-19 but that's to be expected. I have an 01 5 speed.

I have almost 15K on the Queen 28G, Inferno Red. Here is my problem.
I have NEVER had good gas mileage.......
I just filled up this morning, and checked my milage for a change. I usually don't bother since it's way better than the old Chevy Blazer I traded in on my '03 auto. I remembered at the last fillup to clear my trip odometer at the pump, and I checked it at the pump this morning, so I know it's accurate.

10.457 Gallons, 262.7 miles = 25.12+ MPG

Can't say I've baby'd it all this week either. (I do love flooring it when I pass.... and after a stop....and just any old time nobody's around on my way home....etc.....)

About 2/3's of my weekly miles are highway miles, the rest stop and go city.

Oh yeah, almost fergot, it's been with the AC on all week. 90's+ all week long. I've got just under 48K on the car now too. Only mods affecting power plant is a modified stock air box, new NGK Iridium plugs and NGK wires, and I just put on a hyper ground setup. (Ebay type, definately not the high priced spread)
