Thanks for the response.
I really hope that the new OEM cam sensor fixes the issue. The crank sensor seems tought to get to, but I will replace it too if the new crankshaft sensor doesn't do it. I will be sure to post my results as I know that it sure can be annoying when someone doesn't post their fix.

Well i put in the Mopar sensor today and it working great.
It's crazy how the aftermarket crankshaft sensor is faulty. Anyways, time to go get this thing smogged and in my name.

Yea we get that a lot, that's why we advise using only the Mopar parts rather than aftermarket. Good luck.

Well went to go get it smogged and 3 sensors still haven't woken up.
Any idea how to get this bad boy through a drive cycle as efficently as possible? Thanks for all the help.

Ok so i know this is an old thread... but this is currently happening to our 04 turbo. It started while i was on my way to work yesterday morning, the car bucked twice while in cruise control at 64mph, then the cruise cut out, and I hit the gas pedal to resume speed and it bucked twice then continued going, but cruise control would not engage.
I went and got the BWD crank position sensor and installed it, as the only code I had yesterday was P0340. Today I drove it to work, no problem. Leaving work, it bucked twice, then threw a check engine light. Cruise would not work again, but only after the car sat idling for about 10 minutes. Now its showing a PO344, and when the car is heated up cruise will also not engage. Any ideas ? ~CYCLONE_06 |

My only suggestion, use OEM Mopar parts. Don't use any other sensors to replace faulty originals.

What I don't get is WHY you replaced the crankshaft Position Sensor when the code (P0340) is for the Camshaft sensor?

My buddy picked up a Mopar sensor for me because he works at the dealership, I will keep this updated. ~CYCLONE_06 |

So I went and got a Mopar sensor... so far, no more codes... I noticed that the head of the Mopar sensor is solid black plastic, where the aftermarket sensor has a yellowish transparent resin around the electronics. While I was waiting to get the Mopar sensor, the check engine light actually went away for a while with the aftermarket sensor, but when the cars temp got up, it came back on, so I believe it is a heat related issue inside the two sensors, and the Mopar sensor is more heat resistant.
