Default Florida to WNY...MGP..

I'm planning on moving to NY next year. Either Buffalo or syracuse (from orlando, fl) the trip will be about 1200 miles. I gotta figure how much gas i'm gonna need. Whats the typical miles per gallon for a PT Cruiser (2007)? I mean its my car but my significant other does all the driving and she has no clue. It looks like 800 of those miles are open highway. Thanks in advance for the help!

I drove from SoFla to Tennessee and go to Tampa and the FL keys a lot. On an interstate - I averaged 300 miles per tank and about 12.5-13gal per fill up. Thats me driving basically normal - not too much speeding.

Watch out in GA - those troopers don't mess around. You WILL get pulled over in that great state.

So I would say something like 18-23MPG is what you can expect on the freeway.

I think Bob hit it pretty well. I got 31 mpg one time while driving 45 - 55. If I drive around 65 I can get about 22 - 25. That is after changing plugs and plug wires to performance wires.

May I suggest stopping at gas stations along the way!
Don't try carrying all of it with you....
