0688 Code and the PCM
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, but my wife has had her PT since 2003. The car has been a really good one until last week, and this is what I really need help with. The car cut off on her at a stop sign and will not restart. I have replaced the coil, camshaft position sensor, and the crankshaft position sensor. I inadvertadly cleared the codes when i disconnected the battery, but found a site that said the turn it over for 15 sec and it would grab them again, so I did that. I am getting a 0688 and 0340 code. The 0340 is the camshaft sensor that I replaced so it just may not have grabbed it yet. Is there a way to test the PCM/ECU to see if that is what has died. And if so where is the best place to get one (Chrysler wants $670.00 for the part)
Thanks,
james
