I have used ceramics (Raybestos) with no ill effects.
Suggest you go to the Tire Rack website - they list all kinds of brakes with dust, noise, fade, etc. Hawk makes more than 1 type of ceramic pad, I believe - some are more for track use, not road use.

The Hawk HPS are just as good dust just about as little and stop I think better than the Ceramix Hawks, they are also easier to find.
If not I like the Napa Ceramix(%100) ones. I use these on my N/A and the Hawk HPS on my GT.. Just upgrade to a better quality rotor and you will be fine, the OEM ones that come on the PT are just garbage even the NAPA repalcements are much better. I was actually able to turn them at the same milage I had to toss out the OEM ones..

There are three more PT's to play with though ![]() My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life. |
