Default Under the hood help

What I'm looking for is to clean some stuff up under the hood. Today was like the first time I ever popped the hood and really looked at it.. I was talking to Crewzin a little bit because I'm NO GOOD WITH NOTHING under the hood so I thought maybe I could learn a thing or two

I noticed a rusted tank of something, not really sure what it is, and also looking to get rid of the Air Filter box. The pictures are below. It's to the left.

Thanks all for viewing =P I'm pretty sure thats the Driving Fluid Reservoir and I would need a aftermarket Cold air intake to remove the black plastic!

That's the power steering fluid container and you can buy a chrome cover and cap at a lot of different places like Race & Street. Here's the link...

PT Cruiser Power Steering Cap And Top Housing Covers Chrome : Race and Street

The air filter can be replaced by a number of different ones. The cheapest on eBay ($20-$50 incLuding shipping) and more expensive like the K&N (almost $300). Lots of members went with the AirRaid system for a little less than the K&N because it shields the warm air from the engine from getting into the filter.

Here's link to that....

Another thing I said in the last PM is that you don't have the Vanity cover as it was made an option to buy by Chrysler and deleting it saved them some money. You have the 3 holes that hold the Vanity cover. The pins you need coast about $2 and the cover itself costs about $45.

The Vanity cover can be painted to match whatever you like and themes and pictures have been put on them too.

Thanks for your help, just thought I'd make a post so if anyone else was interested to see, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows about that stuff.

You'd be suprised how many owners just keep everything stock. Give it a little time and others that did do some work will hopefully chime in with some suggestions for you.
