Firstly Hi from a newbie, had my cruiser 7 years now and has 93000 miles on it.....
![]() Had a strange noise come from my 2001 cruiser on friday on checking it this weekend I found the engine had dropped due to the r/h side engine mount bolt shearing off and coming out of the inspection hole taking the access cover with it!! I'm hoping that this bolt goes into a cover that can be seperated from the engine and replaced and not directly into the engine block as the piece of the bolt that is left in looks as though it won't want to come out easily!! Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Steve |

The bolt goes into a big cast iron mount on the front of the engine. Take off the upper and lower motor mounts, disconnect the a/c compressor electrical connector and you will be surprised how far up you can jack the motor. Just watch out for the alternator bracket hitting the a/c drier on the backside. You could also take it off the motor by removing camshaft cover, power steering bolts and 3 bolts hold it to the block.
