I am new to the forum. I have some technical questions. I will start with an easy one. How do you obtain the codes people are referring to on this site? I appreciate anyones help! This appears to be a really good site for all kinds of info. not just to problems but enhancing the performance.

Welcome to the forum.
To obtain the computer Fault Codes..... Put the key in the ignition and without starting the engine, turn the key towards the windshield, back towards you, back towards the windshield, back again and the last time back towards the windshield. leave the key pointing forward. If you did it right, it will either say "done' or give you the codes stored in the computer. Example: P0071, P0340 Now when you start turning the key, do it fast as all three turns must be done within 5 seconds. So, On-Off, On-Off, On. Oh yea, "done" means there's no codes stored. If you want to clear the computer of all codes that are stored, take off the negative battery cable for about 5 minutes.
