'Check engine light' code 0138 & 0139

I have an 06 non turbo with 55.000. Changed plugs and wires today. Was out on the Turnpike and the 'check engine light' went on. It went on along time ago, and I found it was the gas cap. I stopped and checked the cap again, but the light stays on. I ran the codes and found 0138 (HO2S circuit high voltage bank1 sencer 2) and found 0139 (HO2S slow responce bank 1 sencer 2). What the heck is this ? Did I do something when I changed plugs and wires? Car runs great! Don't have the time to take it to a dealer, can I replace anything? Thanks for your help!

Seems strange that they came up just as you changed the plugs and wires but they both say the 02 sensor (upstream I believe) is bad. It's the one right in back of the engine on top of the exhaust manifold.

This past week I had a CEL and got the P2097 and P0138 codes and was told both were related to the downstream O2 sensor by Autozone.

Changed the sensor, reset the codes and they haven't returned. My '06 has 48k.

Forgot the mention, the part was $25 at Autozone and took 10 minutes to swap out, no specialty tools required.
