Default PT SHIMMIES

[:I]Just returned from a long road trip in my 2001 PT. what a ruff ride. Felt like the car shimmied .Any ideas why?

yeah, especially if you have flat-spotted the tires, or they are somehow deformed from being out of balance, out of alignment, etc.Bad struts and shocks can also cause this, but only when they are really worn out.

yes i had a pontiac that went thud thud thud, and it pulled on the wheel too, took it into the front-end shop for what i thought would be expensive repairs, they all gathered around my car looking and laughing etc.....

they then brought me in, there was a shifted belt in my front tire, and a bulge had formed the size of a golfball.

had a 94 duster, hit a pot hole and about an hour later had a thump noise, and a bubble on the inside of the tire
