I'm Polish! And, I am just recovering from the hand & finger burns!

well... I usually can't wait until the engine cools all the way down because that takes hours so I invested in some Mechanix Gloves. Mechanix Wear - The Originalâ„¢ Glove
Best gloves I've ever had. lol

They hardly feel like gloves but have really good grip.

Thanks for the guide, I used it to swap in new plugs and wires on the '06 I bought recently. (Goodbye .080 gapped spark plugs and hesitation, hello smooth running.)

I didn't see it listed here, but per Chrysler the manifold gasket is supposed to be reusable up to 10 times as long as it is in good condition. Mine was, so I didn't have to replace it. (I usually do on other vehicles.)

Man, wish I'd have thought of that before tossing mine out! Great idea...

PLEASE, please follow the proper tightening sequence and torque settings. Guessing at this will likely end up costing you a new lower intake manifold. The slots you screw the top half into are prone to breakage if you over-tighten.

Here's the torque requirement and the tightening sequence. Make darned certain that you have cleaned off both the gaskets on the upper mani and the receiving slots in the lower mani and the throttle body. Pinching one of those gaskets is going to be costly!! Make darned sure you have it settled on all it's bolts before taking them tight!

This is the voice of experience, don't want you to do the stupid things I've already done!!!

I would like to give a big thank you to all who put posts like this up. I did mine following the directions from this one and the one earlier. I was able to do my wires and plugs with little issues. Saved over a hundred bucks too. Again a big thanks to all for helping out.

If you wanted to you could "donate" money to whoever it was that created this post so that they could get a Turbo Kit. Since they saved you so much money!.
Just kidding.
I hope I don't get banned for that.

Thanks for the great pictures and the step by step info. I retired from the Boeing Co. in customer training and I wish we could have produced manuals as short and precise as you presented your info.

Thanks Charles Sundberg, PNWPTOWNER
