coolant leak from the radiator drain

First off, I've got a 2003 pt non turbo. Just drained and flushed the radiator. The drain fitting is in the closed position, but there is coolant leaking from the drain. powers of deduction tell me there is something wrong with the drain fitting. The drain still leaks coolant when the fitting is in the off position.

What can I do to fix this apart from buying a new radiator?

If you mean the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator then you can go to a dealer and have them look up the plug on the micro-fish and see if it's sold separately. If not, visit a auto store with the diameter measurement of the hole where the plug is and ask if they sell a universal plug.
