Multiple Problems and error codes

I have just bought a 2002 PT.

It has a few problems (and was very cheap), and had recently been rolled.

The problem I am most concerned about is the transmission, when driving it suddenly seems to get stuck in neutral. Switching from drive to 1 or 3 does nothing. I will suddenly kick back in, and has never failed for so long that I come to a complete stop, but I haven't been going up hill when it happens yet either!

It also occasionally surges when I accelerate fast such as when overtaking.

I am getting four error codes 0134, 0700, 1490 and 1495.

I have also had to jump the fan relay as the fan wasn't coming on at all, so I now have it jumped so that it comes on and stays on when the ignition is on. The AC doesn't work either (i am not sure if it is a freon leak or something else). I am guessing it needs a new fan, but don't want to fix that until i know the tranny is fixable.

I am sure I also need to bleed the coolant because I am getting the gurgling sound and guess what, the battery keeps running flat which I reckon is the multiswitch, when i turn everything off the chime keeps going, after hitting the steering wheel a few times it seems to stop, does that sound like the multiswitch?

Anyone with any ideas on the above error codes and transmission problem your input will be VERY much appreciated. I am in Roatan Honduras, so have no access to Chyrsler dealerships.

Lots of bad things happen.

Look on the top of this Tech & Performance section and you'll see how to retrieve the fault codes and another sticky will tell you what they are.

First have all your fluids changed and flushed out. Then do a search from the top of this forum for A/C problems, transaxle problems and overheating problems to see which ones fit what you have.

You take the wheels and tires off as well as the rear axle , sell the parts to someone who wants to build a trailer , junkyard the rest

if cars been rooled who know what kind of damage its got the body work and roof and how much it will have weakend the body shell
i personally would not drive as above junk yard
and spare parts
thats why you got it cheap
